Echoes of the Fontainebleau International Festival of Art History

Echoes of a Festival – an annual programme of activities focusing on the music, art and culture of a specific country as identified by the annual History of Art Festival of the Château de Fontainebleau.

For 10 years now, Château Fontainebleau has organized a Festival of Art History, unique among the many festivals in the world. The Festival lasts 3 days and takes place the first weekend in June every year. The efforts and work that are put in behind the scenes are unimaginable including scientific commissions and a wide range of specialists of the theme of the year. The Festival attracts visitors, scientists, specialists, and other intellectuals from around the world as well as people from the Fontainebleau and Seine-Marne region.

To support and enhance the interest evoked during the Festival, La Loingtaine has decided each year to dedicate days to a special programme related to the theme of the Festival. The activities may include conferences, exhibitions, activities for children, projection of films and concerts, etc.
