Academies

Every year since 2006, La Loingtaine has organized the Chamber Music Academy from end of July to the middle of August. Students of different nationalities attend the Academy to improve their skills under the aegis of professional musicians, and to perform in concerts under the tutelage of highly qualified teachers.

Living together under the same roof students and teachers share their time and have unusual opportunities to discuss music in a larger intellectual context while also studying a piece of music of their own choice in more depth. The informality of the encounter makes the Academy experience a unique memorable formative opportunity that many of our students carry with them forward in their careers.
